The life of an electric toothbrush depends on how often it's used. Using your electric toothbrush twice a day for 2 minutes each will probably last about three years before the battery needs replacing.
If you use it once a day for the same amount of time, the battery should last about five years before needing replacement. So, the average life span is between three to five years before they stop working or require a replacement.
With newer toothbrush models, it may be possible to replace the battery once it has reached the end of its life. Sometimes, however, you may not know what the reason behind its malfunctioning is. Some manufacturer warranties may offer a repair option if one of the internal components has stopped working. It’s best to check with your manufacturer before you run out to purchase a new one, as a repair could give you another year or two.
If you travel frequently, this is an essential factor to consider when choosing an electric toothbrush to avoid cases of low battery. Because some batteries at full charge will only last around two weeks before they need to be replaced or recharged again. This can be pretty expensive if you're away from home for long periods at a time and you only have a chance for a single charge.
