Rotating-Oscillating Electric Toothbrush vs Sonic Toothbrush

SONIC TECHNOLOGY

Sonic toothbrushes generally vibrate at 24,000 – 40,000 strokes per minute. In comparison, oscillating electric toothbrushes rotate at around 1,300 – 8,800 strokes per minute. Sonic technology provides a very thorough clean, because not only does it clean the surface of your teeth by breaking up the plaque then sweeping it away, but also the hard to reach areas of your mouth. Sonic pulse technology creates a powerful vibration influencing fluid dynamics. This forces the fluids and toothpaste in your mouth between your teeth and the gums creating an interdental cleaning action.

Electric rotating-oscillating toothbrushes come with lower power than sonic toothbrushes, but due to the rotating head you can find them quite powerful in removing the plaque off your teeth. Sonic toothbrushes, on the other hand, are considered much more effective thanks to the high level of vibrations they provide.

Rotating-oscillating electric toothbrushes use a back-and-forth rotating motion to cup each tooth and can be as fast as up to 8,800 strokes per minute. As mentioned any dentist will tell you that an electric toothbrush is always better than a manual.

Due to this rotating head, the brush can clean your teeth precisely and without unwanted pressure on your teeth.
